Why Petrol Savings exists
Comparing fuel prices shouldn't mean guesswork.
Petrol Savings helps UK drivers compare fuel prices quickly and confidently. We combine official price feeds with location data so you can see nearby stations, freshness timestamps, and real-world travel costs in one place.
Our focus is clarity: prices are shown in p/L, freshness is always visible, and the cheapest badge only appears when the selected fuel price is eligible. Low-confidence prices and temporarily closed stations are excluded, and older prices stay clearly marked. We never sell your precise location or store calculator inputs.

How ranking works
Freshness signal
Freshness is always shown so older prices stay clearly marked even when a station remains eligible for a cheapest badge.
Eligibility rules
Cheapest badges use the lowest eligible listed price. Low-confidence prices and temporarily closed stations are excluded.
Tie-break logic
When prices match, the closer station wins, and one station can be both cheapest and nearest.
How prices are sourced
Petrol Savings aggregates price data from official sources, then adds location details so you can compare stations by distance, drive time, and freshness. We check for new prices every 5 minutes, show when each price last changed, and say when data is limited or unavailable.

What we don't do
No profiles of your searches
We do not build a profile of your searches or locations, and there are no accounts to link them to.

We use official UK fuel price feeds and enrich them with location context so stations can be compared by price, distance, and freshness.
We check for new prices every 5 minutes. Each station reports its own price changes, so every price shows when it last changed.
Cheapest badges use the lowest eligible listed price. Low-confidence and temporarily closed entries are excluded, and opening status plus freshness stay clearly marked.
We don't keep a profile of your searches or locations. Postcodes and "Use my location" coordinates are used to answer your search, can appear in the page address and our short-term server logs, and route results are stored for up to 24 hours. See our privacy policy for details.
