About Valero Fuel

Valero Energy Corporation is one of the world's largest independent petroleum refiners and marketers. Founded in 1980, the company has grown significantly through strategic acquisitions and expansions.

In the UK, Valero operates the Pembroke Refinery, which it acquired from Chevron in 2011. This facility processes approximately 270,000 barrels of crude oil per day and supplies fuel to a network of Texaco-branded service stations across the UK and Ireland.

Valero's presence in the UK market is primarily through its ownership of the Texaco brand license for the UK and Ireland. Through this arrangement, Valero supplies fuel to over 800 Texaco-branded service stations, making it a significant player in the UK's fuel retail sector.

Valero Loyalty Scheme

Valero operates the Star Rewards loyalty programme at Texaco-branded stations. This program allows customers to earn points on fuel and in-store purchases.

For every litre of fuel purchased, customers earn 1 point. After accumulating 500 points, these can be redeemed for a £5 reward. The Star Rewards programme also features exclusive promotions and offers for members based on their shopping habits.

Additionally, members can choose to donate their points to charitable causes, allowing Valero to support community initiatives through customer engagement.
